The Renewals team is in search for an enthusiastic team member to join our team! This opportunity is ideal for someone with an unmatched passion for understanding customer needs and connecting the dots to make them continuously successful with our software and happy with our services. If you have experience selling software maintenance renewals & upgrades, if you can thoughtfully engage existing customers by phone and email, if you are creative and analytical, we want to talk to you! The Renewals Specialist's mission is to increase the software maintenance renewal rate through effective inside sales techniques. You'll be responsible for improving our understanding of why some customers stay and some customers churn in order to drive improvements in tactics and strategy and increasing customers' awareness of Atlassian product portfolio to drive cross-sell and up-sell. You'll be required to track sales activities, customer data and customers' status within internal systems (Salesforce.com) and maintain a deep understanding of product updates and new offerings and articulate those improvements to customers. You'll be in charge of German accounts and you'll also work with other customers from Central and Eastern Europe.
You will report to our Renewals Manager in Amsterdam and be part of our amazing global team all over the world (Sydney, Austin, San Francisco, Manila and Kuala Lumpur). You'll have internal contacts with the customer service team, our channel managers, product specialists and marketing.

You would be an ideal fit if you have sold maintenance renewals, upgrades and/or other portfolio products to existing customers from different countries and cultures via outbound phone calls and emails. You have consistently met or exceeded your goals but your main focus is always on driving value for the customer. You have experience with handling sales funnel and sales opportunities within the salesforce.com platform. You know what it takes to champion the needs of the customers (particularly in relation to popular feature requests). You are articulate, sharp and engaging. You have a strong customer service ethic and an ability to establish rapport and establish relationships over the phone. You also have a keen attention to detail, polished verbal/written communication skills and dedication to continuous improvement which shows through active engagement.
The ideal renewal specialist preferably has a minimum of 3 years experience in inside sales, customer success or similar roles and a bachelor's degree or equivalent in working experience. We're looking for someone with professional maturity, integrity, discipline and a positive attitude. You want to work in a rapid growth environment and are open to taking on new responsibilities. You are an independent thinker, creative and have a good sense of humor.
You are fluent in German and English with any additional language considered as a plus.
