Senior Application Support Engineer - Server Team
As a Senior Support Engineer you get to know one of our product families in depth, and the entire suite at a basic level. You will be working with a wide range of customers, from start-ups to large corporations, to help identify and resolve product related issues. You will publish knowledge base articles to improve our self-help offering and verify bugs and work with development on providing fixes. You will participate in projects and experiments to constantly improve how we do support and influence product direction based on customer feedback. You will actively guide, mentor and train more junior members in the team to enhance the overall team performance. You will collaborate with our global Support team to serve customers worldwide.

More about you
A great candidate can hit that sweet spot between a technical and a customer facing role. They have a drive to learn new technologies and are responsible for owning customer issues until resolution. You're great fit if you have top notch written and verbal communication skills, along with a comfort communicating with customers. You have strong Linux knowledge, familiarity with databases and demonstrated SQL experience, and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent demonstrated experience. You know how to play as a team and how to help more junior team members learn and reach their full potential by providing them with mentoring and guidance. You have a keen drive for urgency and "get sh!t done" attitude! You have passion, curiosity, energy, humor and guts!
We are looking for 5+ years of experience in troubleshooting Java/J2EE (or similar) applications, Tomcat or similar web application experience, 5+ years of experience in a technical support role, and nice to have would be existing experience with any of Atlassian's products!
