We are looking for a Process Development Manager MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES: To be responsible for developing and ensuring that all of the Group R&D data management systems, design systems and processes are fit for purpose within the Group’s requirements and are managed within budget. Group R&D standards are maintained and up to date. To ensure R&D project teams work according to Group guidelines To provide governance of the NPCP/Innovation/PCM /CMS To ensure KPI’s reporting are developed and communicated To coaching project team members where necessary KEY ACTIVITIES: - Management of specified projects at group level - To provide technical leadership and support to all team members within specified projects, with effective use of internal and external resource. - To effectively Project and Resource plan all specified projects to meet agreed time, cost and specification. - To ensure projects comply with Current Legislation, Health and safety regulations, Building Regulations, Company ISO 9001/14001 Systems. - To monitor and assist in developing R&D processes across the organisation. - Assisting with the development and maintenance of the Quality Assurance process for R&D. - Regularly monitor the progress of NPCP projects to ensure the deliverables are met to an appropriate level of quality - To develop and support the necessary tools required - To train and coach project members in the application of new processes - Collect and collate relevant data from various sources across the Group - Conduct training, workshops and conferences internally across the Group - To provide a regular audit of processes and guidelines applied
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Graduate or equivalent calibre, preferably within an engineering discipline, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience within a technical/manufacturing environment, allied to a broad knowledge of business, product development, material logistics and quality systems. Experience with the management of business information systems, development/testing facilities data management systems and business processes. Experience with planning tools, techniques and processes. Ability to use advanced PC tools. Financially literate. Strong knowledge/experience in zero defect tools e.g. QFD, FMEA, SPC, etc. Good planning skills with a proven track record in process development and/or setting up management systems WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR: · An ambitious professional with preferable a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering etc. · At least 3-5 experience in a comparable job · A candidate that could manage in an International Environment · An Enthusiastic and Passionate candidate
